Windsurfing: Hove Wind Direction: SW Wind Stength: F3-4 Surf / Sea State: Small waves Air Temperature: Sea Temperature: Weather: Sunny Max Speed: Distance Covered:
Quick afternoon sail at West Hove Buffers. 5.9m on 100 ltr freestyle.
Planed off the beach, nice little table top, few jumps, sweet gybe, rolling
wavelets back to the shallows, adjusted the boom, copped a small wave on
the head and yikes, the sail was ripped from middle of window to leech,
with the leech fully severed!!!!
One roll of duck tape and some fishing line later and back out. Still
getting on the plane, but wind dropping, so more pumping, then the duck
tape gave up, leaving just 4 strands of fish line connecting the first and
second batten ends above the boom. Not so good for pumping.
